“I have found Maya’s course to be thorough, simply presented, and true to the traditional teachings of the ancient philosophy. Maya has truly given me wings. She embodies the role of mentor and teacher and I cherish the time that I studied under her.” - Ann Marie Killean, 5/3/07
"Maya Breuer's YTT programs are absolutely awesome! The training she offers transforms, inspires, empowers and uplifts the mind, body, spirit!" -Abigail Ifatola Jefferson, Rhode Island, 5/4/07
"I am a former student of Maya Breuer's. I, like several woman reached out to Maya in search of something unknown and often found myself longing for the self acceptance I lacked. After taking one and only one of Maya's yoga classes, I was hooked!... I decided to talk to Maya privately about the Teacher Training Program she had offered, she convinced me that the opportunity would change my life. Today, five years later being married with two amazing children, I do not believe my life would be as abundant if I hadn't crossed paths with Maya. Personally and professionally she has taught me to love and to be loved, to speak from the heart with grace and to treat as I expect to be treated. I will be eternally grateful to Maya for opening my eyes to the world of yoga and how it has changed my life...forever. I thank her for understanding, for being patient with personal life, and for introducing me to a life of fulfillment. I believe any person who has the opportunity to experience Maya's yoga classes, Teacher Training, or even a cup of coffee with her will be in the presence of woman who will touch them forever. Peace to all!" -Stacy Crouse, CA, 5/4/07
"Studying at the Santosha School of Yoga provided me with a solid basis in the history, philosophy, and methodology of Yoga, which have been crucial to my ability to teach Yoga. Our 200 hour program allowed me to build a deep understanding complemented with a thorough skill set to begin my teaching of Yoga. Although I felt confident in my experience with my practice, I knew I had to acquire the tools necessary to ground my teaching in traditional, inspirational and correct Yogic discipline. The Santosha School of Yoga provided me with a solid, complete and wonderful training to become a well qualified teacher of Yoga. Maya Breuer's instruction in the Program was superb. Her deep commitment to the traditional teachings of Yoga complemented by her strong spirit of compassion, dedication and inclusion motivated me as well as her other students to excel. Her program was rigorous yet fun. We came to love the challenges she provided for us as they were interwoven with serious work and motivational practices. Having been a teacher of communication for many years I was especially moved by Maya's ability to bring together aspects of her personal life as an artist and wonderful cook so that we could experience and witness the practice of Yoga in all aspects of life. One of my most favorite parts of our training was when Maya would chant for us at the end of our sessions. As a singer myself I was familiar with the body as a bellow for sound. The integrity of Maya's presence in the sound of her voice as she chanted drew us all to a higher state of consciousness and practice. Today, in my practice and teaching I find the tools I was given through hard effort and discipline have shaped me into a solid teacher. My experience with Maya Breuer was the best. I am deeply and joyfully grateful as I continue to develop my teaching, learning and practice based on the exceptional foundation I acquired during my training with Maya." -Daphne Wales, Professor, University of Rhode Island, 5/22/07
