training registration
Register by Friday noon deadline, typically two weeks before it begins.
discounts
Student discount is for high school and college students with a valid I.D.
Senior discount is for those over 65 years.
holidays
We close around the end-of-year holidays. During other holiday weekends, the teachers decide if the class occurs. Check the website for the holiday schedule.
kids yoga - special groups
We offer special sessions for scout troops, church groups, and other clubs and teams. Sessions are 60 minutes with a cost $100 for up to 10 children and $8 per child over 10. Adults take the class for free - we ask that at least one adult attend with each group and request no more than 2; exceptions can be made for larger groups. Adults must participate in the class with a mat. Please email info@spiralflightyoga.com to schedule a session!
late policy
Please arrive at 10 minutes before class. Doors close and are locked at start time.
logistics
Wear comfortable clothing. Do not wear perfumes/scents. Remove shoes and turn off cell phones. Check in, pay, and tell teacher about injuries or medical conditions before starting. We provide props (mats, belts, blankets, blocks), although we recommend you bring your own mat.
make-ups
Adults registered for a weekly class who miss class can make up in another adult class, or send someone in their place, or bring someone along to use the missed class. These missed classes must be made up within the same session and can be made up in advance of the missed class. Parents who have registered their child in kids yoga (including Itsy Bitsy Yoga) have one year to use their missed class by making up in any adult class on the schedule.
private classes
payment
We accept cash and checks at the center. The returned check fee is $25. Go online for credit card payment.
refunds
Drop-in classes are non-refundable, non-transferable, and expiration will not be extended. For class registration series, pro-rated refunds, minus a $25 administrative fee, are given through second week of session.
For workshops, credit toward future workshops, minus a $25 administrative fee, is given up to one week before the event.
For trainings, refunds, minus a $100 administrative fee are given up to two weeks before the training. (Students who can not make it can always give their place to someone else.)
For workshops and trainings, with guest teachers or trainers, a minimum number of people is often required to book/cover transportation costs for the teacher/trainer. If you are one of the minimum required for the event to be offered, and you are not able to attend part or the entire event (or send someone in your place), your tuition is non-refundable.
substitute teachers
When a substitute teacher is needed another wonderful teacher will teach. Please come open to experiencing another person’s teaching. We guarantee your practice will be enhanced!
teen yoga
Teens are welcome to attend the teen yoga classes which run in 5-8 week series, or can attend any adult yoga class, with their parent or on their own as they like.
weather policy
Call or check the website about closures two hours prior to class/event start time. If DC public schools close or there is a DC weather emergency, we close.
